The 2018-2023 regional health plan includes seven orientations for Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy. Dedicated objectives for Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy, based on an assessment of the actions of the past years have been defined in each of the orientations.
In the northern islands one of the main priorities is to rebuild the health supply after the passage of Irma, this is objective 6 of orientation number 3.
This objective is broken down into several “operational sub-objectives” for Saint-Martin: supporting the reconstruction of the Saint-Martin hospital center and reorganizing the supply of hospital care; strengthen and consolidate the ambulatory offer and guarantee it in the event of a crisis; build a reinforced system of prevention, screening and mental health care; overhaul the medico-social offer in a single medico-social pole. The entire draft regional health scheme was submitted for consultation on Thursday from the website of the regional health agency (ARS).
