On Sunday, December 29, at the beginning of the afternoon, the Cross Antilles-Guyane broadcast a message indicating that a man had fallen overboard at Saba-Sint Maarten; the regional operational surveillance center thus asking boaters in the area to be vigilant and try to locate it in order to be able to help it.
In parallel, the SNSM of Saint-Barth and the help of Sint Maarten were requested.
Quickly, the members of a megayacht answered the call of the Cross and wanted to help, says the Cross. The latter gave them details of the search area, which enabled them to locate and recover the man. Then, the crew was put in contact with the SNSM of Saint-Barth who recovered the victim.
According to the site The Sun, was on board the mega-yacht the American actor Leonardo Di Caprio; information that the Cross is however unable to confirm.
As for the victim, it was a man who fell from the Club Med 2 liner.
