Sargassum: another lull in Saint-Martin this week

0

The coasts of Saint-Martin should be avoided this week by sargassum groundings, Météo France is indeed forecasting a low risk for the next three days. On the other hand, he qualifies the risk of strong in Saint-Barth.

According to images observed from August 13 to 15, long filaments are present in eastern Anguilla. They transit towards the northwest. Except cyclonic influence, they should not concern the northern islands, estimates Météo France. The current calm continues in Saint-Martin during the period, even if in the northeast of Saint-Barthélemy algae are in transit towards the west and present a threat for the weekend.

To the east and south of Saint-Barthélemy other more or less long rafts or filaments head west. Arrivals will therefore continue in waves over the next few days.

For the next two weeks, the threat concerns Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands. The rafts detected near Barbados should interest us again in the next 15 days. (soualigapost.com)
