SINT MAARTEN: Last chance to recover your vehicle from the impound lot

0

The Sint Maarten police confiscated or impounded several vehicles, scooters and motorcycles identified as stolen or following non-compliance with the technical requirements of the highway code under the assumption that the rightful owner would have his vehicle returned once this one would be in order.

However, a number of owners or transferees of seized vehicles did not show up to collect them. As a result, several cars and two-wheelers are abandoned at towing companies or at the Philipsburg police station. As peak of hurricane season nears, police appeal to homeowners who still need to recover  their vehicle(s) to present themselves with the necessary documents. If the latter do not do so, the vehicle will be considered as definitively abandoned. A list of vehicles, scooters and motorcycles left at towing companies and the police station has been compiled and is available from the police. If your vehicle is still in police custody, contact them at +1 721 542 2222 or on their website www.policesxm.sx A private message can also be left via the Facebook page: St. Maarten Police Force. _VX
