From June 7 to 30, the Saint Martin Santé association located in Concordia is launching its “Heart Path” in partnership with the French Federation of Cardiology in order to raise awareness among the population of Saint Martin to take care of their cardiovascular health.
The Parcours du Cœur is the largest health prevention operation organized in France. His goal is
reduce cardiovascular disease through information, screening and learning about healthier lifestyles. Under the aegis of the French Federation of Cardiology, it mobilizes each spring several hundred towns, cities and towns throughout the country, including Saint Martin. The Saint Martin Santé association therefore goes out to meet the population to discuss together the situation in the territory about a subject that is too often neglected. The course of the heart organized by Saint Martin Santé is therefore an event composed of several actions, the dates of which are listed below. By providing participants with information and advice on how to take care of their heart health at all ages of life, the direct goal of the heart course is to reconnect Saint-Martinois with regular physical effort by showing them that 'it can be a source of pleasure and contribute to very simply combating cardiovascular risk factors in order to then give them advice on a healthy lifestyle, through the information and prevention messages designed by the French Federation of Cardiology. Cardiovascular diseases cause 400 deaths per day in France. They are the first cause of death in women over 65 and the second cause of death in men. Saint Martin Santé is also organizing a competition open to all participants with the possibility of winning a series of prizes. To try your luck, all you have to do is fill out a questionnaire and take a photo with the emblematic giant heart, the photo of which will be posted on the association's Facebook page. The photo that will be the most liked (with the fewest errors in the questionnaire) will win the “Parcours du cœur” contest. A heart that goes is life that beats. _VX
