At the end of May 1 PCR tests were carried out by the health authorities on both sides of the island: 075% of the tests were carried out partly French and 57% partly Dutch which represents respectively 43 and 614 tests.

1,4% of the island's population has been tested: 1,7% partly French and 1% partly Dutch.

Out of all the tests, 118 were positive, ie a positivity rate of 10,9%. Two thirds of the cases were declared partly Dutch: 77 positive cases partly Dutch and 41 partly French (including 3 tourists).

The French side increased its tests with the arrival of a machine on the territory and the change of national screening strategy. Since mid-May anyone with symptoms - however mild - has been invited to be tested.

The test remains a voluntary process; if it is prescribed by the attending physician, it is not compulsory. (soualigapost.com)
