At the request of the Ministry of Solidarity and Health, at the request of the ARS, and after an assessment mission of the Armed Forces Health Service (SSA), a reinforcement military team arrived in the territory on the 26th and 27th. last September.

About thirty SSA caregivers (doctors, anesthetists, nurses), supported by 8 soldiers from the Army Medical Regiment, came to reinforce the staff of the CHU de Guadeloupe, by taking charge of 8 resuscitation beds. additional under the ORSAN plan. Additional medical equipment was also sent on this occasion.

This mission was deployed following the achievement of level 6 of the ORSAN plan, given the progression of the epidemic in September. It came in addition to the teams from the territory mobilized to support our population.

SSA professionals deserve to be recognized for their effective engagement alongside CHU caregivers and for the lives they have helped save.

The steady decrease in the Covid-19 epidemic in our territory, the decrease in the need for resuscitation beds and the inflection of all city indicators, emergency visits and medical hospitalization allow the withdrawal of the SSA . The personnel of the army health service and the army medical regiment will rejoin their assignment in France after a month of mobilization.
