Sint Maarten: 13 new people tested positive for Covid-19

As of October 28, 13 people have tested positive for Covid-19 while at the same time 10 patients have been declared cured; causing active cases to remain at 59.

The total number of confirmed cases is now 805 since the start of the epidemic.

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are still monitoring 52 people placed in isolation at their homes, all showing suspicious symptoms linked to the coronavirus.

In addition, 6 patients are still hospitalized at Sint Maarten Medical Center.

The total number of deaths linked to Covid-19 remains at 22.

The number of people cured since the first case declared in the Dutch part has risen to 724.

Another 105 people are also under surveillance after perhaps having come into contact with an active case.

Finally, the health services have already tested 1194 travelers arriving at Princess Juliana International Airport and 5582 people across the country.

Minister Panneflek reminded the population that: "to flatten the curve and reduce the spread of the virus, we must continue to wear our masks in public, practice social distancing of 2 meters, disinfect and wash our hands frequently and refrain from mass gatherings ”. Message received ? _AF
