Saint-Martin's Day / Aline Hanson: "We are on the right track ..."

0

On the occasion of the celebration of Saint-Martin's Day, Aline Hanson took stock after more than three years of management at the head of the Collectivity.

“Today, Saint-Martin has been rebuilt on healthy foundations with concrete achievements that benefit all of our citizens.

In particular to our young people who have the right to expect lasting solutions.

Youth support schemes have started to show results.

I am thinking of the professional training plan to help with higher education, the “Objectif 100” agreement with the RSMA, the integration markets, the accompaniment of business creators and the financial support for associations working for youth.

Above all, we have created new infrastructures:

- A school complex with 854 places.

- A water and sanitation network rehabilitated after 15 years of waiting

- Fully renovated local sports facilities in all neighborhoods including Orléans

As you can see, the Thelbert Carti stadium has been completely renovated so that athletes from the Quartier d'Orléans and from all over the island can practice the sports they love to practice!

I would add, without mentioning them, that other major projects will soon see the light of day, notably a House of Public Services, right here in Quartier d'Orléans.

There is still more to be done, it is true, but we are on the right track with the help of the State and Europe.

Saint-Martinoises, Saint-Martinois,

I would like to thank you for your trust.

I would like to thank the many volunteers who invest in associations, in Quartier d'Orléans and everywhere else, to help our community and participate in the dynamism of this territory.

A big thank you to all !

I will end with this quote from Professor Albert Jacquard who said: "Better a success in solidarity than a solitary success".
