The president of the Saint-Martin Football League, Mr. Fabrice BALY, and the members of the League Council, congratulate Mr. Noël LE GRAET, reappointed as president of the French Football Federation (FFF) , during the federal GA. Election in which the Saint-Martin Football League participated for the very first time in the history of this sport in Saint-Martin.

Being able to participate in this high level of decision for Saint-Martin is now possible thanks to the transformation of the Saint-Martin football district into an independent League, since the decision of the Federal GA of December 12, 2015. A statutory change desired by players in Saint-Martin football and whom President BALY and his team have made possible, thanks to their work in sports diplomacy with the authorities concerned.

It is in this logic of sports diplomacy and federal teamwork that President BALY made it a point of honor not only to participate in this election of the new president of the FFF, but also to choose, in consultation with the other overseas leagues, a list which will make concrete progress on overseas sites and projects.

“The Leagues of Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin, Guyane, Martinique, Mayotte and Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, have decided to unite and make the common choice of the list led by Mr. Noël LE GRAET, in order to renew our trust and ensure the stability of our Federation. We were also sensitive to the fact that Mr. LE GRAET made the commitment to concretely advance a number of projects and worksites for the Overseas Leagues, namely:

• Integration into FIFA;

• Reinforcement of all of the specific mechanisms for Overseas;

• The release of professional overseas players for competitions in the Caribbean to ensure a certain success for regional selections and ensure the influence of Leagues and football in the territories concerned;

• Integration of young people in national competitions;

• Offer a post-championship alternative to regional champions.

We hope that President LE GRAET and his team will quickly set up a work schedule with the Overseas Leagues, of the Caribbean in particular, in order to concretely advance these projects which are essential for the good development of football and the dissemination of values of our sport in our territories of the French Caribbean, at the gates of the Americas and at an international crossroads. It would be for him to send a message not only social and educational, but also diplomatic sports strong, "said President BALY. _AF
