The circle is complete ! Last Friday, at 9:30 am West Indies time and 14:30 pm Paris time, the official arrival of RUN TO PARIS 2024 took place. Congratulations to all the students of the Northern Islands who succeeded in their challenge by completing 6 km to virtually join the city ​​of Paris !

For the official arrival, the students of the Clair Saint-Maximin school (Quartier d'Orléans) were welcomed by the Olympic vice-champion, Jean-Paul Tony-Helissey, sponsor of the project, and a CM2 class from the André Fenez school, located in the Paris region.

The students of Evelyne Doressamy were able to exchange with the students of Caroline Vergnes and Jean-Paul Tony Helissey by asking questions via Skype.

"This action is part of the school's new programs with the skill" getting informed in the digital world "by communicating from one end of the world to the other thanks to the Internet", specifies Jean-Luc Elice, EPS educational advisor.

This project, initiated by the USEP Iles du Nord with the partnership of the Education Department, the CNOSF, and Paris 2024, aimed to raise awareness among educational teams from kindergarten to high school about Paris's candidacy for the Olympic Games. from 2024. This participatory sports project has enabled the students to cultivate perseverance and effort together.

Sport was also valued as a resource for learning in the various disciplines (mathematics, geography, moral and civic education).
