Direction the Antilles! At 14 pm sharp yesterday, the gun was fired which officially marked the start of the 11rd edition of the Route du Rhum, 40 years old after the first crossing to Pointe-à-Pitre, 3.543 nautical miles from Saint-Malo, or 6.562 kilometers!

An impressive fleet of 123 boats has therefore launched a solo assault on the Atlantic, which could well be played over the water in less than 6 days thanks to the “flying” boats.

According to specialists, the record set by Loïck Peyron, winner of the last edition in 2014, in 7 days and 15 hours, has a good chance of being beaten. Wait and see ...  _AF
