The Solidarity and Families Pole of the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, in agreement with the France Alzheimer Guadeloupe association, postponed training for family carers of people with Alzheimer's disease (or related diseases) to October 2016 to allow as many people as possible to attend. Thus, registrations are still in progress, the new training dates being set for Saturday October 22 and Saturday October 29.
The training is intended for family caregivers who accompany day to day a person suffering from Alzheimer's disease or a related disease. The family caregiver faces a fourfold emotional, psychological, physical and financial burden. The sick person requires vigilance which gradually mobilizes the caregiver 24 hours a day and which leads to situations of physical and psychological exhaustion.
To register, you can download the registration form on the Collectivity website: www.com-saint-martin.fr or collect it from the reception office of the solidarity and families pole, rue Léopold Mingau in Concordia (le number of places in training is limited to 14).
Please submit your duly completed Registration to the Solidarity & Families pole of the Collectivité de Saint-Martin, before October 10, 2016.
