In 2016, the territorial archives and heritage department identified the so-called remarkable heritage of the French part; 536 houses, monuments, low walls and others had been listed. Some of these buildings were damaged following the passage of Irma. An update of this inventory is in progress.
In addition, the Collectivity wishes to carry out actions in favor of the reconstruction of the remarkable heritage destroyed in Grand Case. A reflection is led with the direction of the archives. National systems will be requested to finance the rehabilitation of buildings. For example, the old post office will thus be valued.
