At the beginning of July, the Collectivity published a contract notice to select the companies that will be involved in the renovation of the media library at Concordia; the date for submitting offers was set for September 12, it has just been postponed to October 18.
The start of the earthworks and the installation of the site are scheduled for January 2023. The acceptance of the works is scheduled for the end of December next year.
The ground floor will be converted into a multicultural space. There are plans to install a Café Folies, a multi-instrument music classroom, a dance classroom, and a plastic arts classroom. A toy library, a media library and a museum will also function in interaction. In part of this level will be installed an amphitheater. A multipurpose room and a terrace will be set up on the first floor.
The basement will be rehabilitated into a cyclone shelter and an emergency medical shelter. Administrative offices will also be set up.
