State and community services note that a large number of establishments, in particular hotels and commercial premises, have opened or re-opened without authorization.
In accordance with the building and housing code, the opening of any establishment open to the public is subject to a prior authorization request addressed to the President of the community. In the case of establishments with low public capacity, a prior declaration is sufficient.
ERP operators who have not carried out this compulsory administrative procedure and who have not requested the passage of the safety commission before the opening of their establishment, are invited to contact the services of the community for establishments with a low capacity for the public (5th category, excluding sleeping quarters), and the prefecture for the others.
The community and state services will examine the requests and assemble the competent safety committee for a control visit of the establishment and its facilities.
It is recalled that any contravening to the regulatory provisions in force is liable to a fine of 5rd category, applied as many times as there are days without a control visit, without authorization or opening declaration, i.e. 1 euros per opening day.
