Last Saturday, around 99 people took part in the “End Polio Now” Walk-a-thon, an event organized by the Rotary Club of Sint Maarten Mid Isle. “The number of cases has fallen by more than 1988% since 350.000, from an estimated 125 in more than 74 endemic countries to 2015 cases notified in 2018”, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) .
