The doors of the Pôle Emploi agency in Saint-Martin remained closed to the public yesterday because of a strike movement.
The various union organizations had filed a notice calling all the employees of the Pôle Emploi Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands to strike from October 18, 2016 at 7:30 am.
The agents of Saint-Martin, in solidarity with their Guadeloupe colleagues, took advantage of this movement to highlight the specific demands of the agency of Pôle emploi Saint-Martin. They demand in particular:
• 1.Establishment of all CCDs (number of 6 CDDs at Pôle Emploi in Saint-Martin).
• 2.Reduction of the workload of the agents through the reduction of the size of the portfolios.
• 3.Recognition of languages (English, Spanish and Creole).
• 4.Payment of travel expenses for agents and simplification of administrative procedures.
• 5.Resolving individual situations of colleagues: colleagues suffering greatly at work.
• 6.Implementation of solutions for problems related to insecurity.
• 7.Taking into account the agents' suffering.
• 8.Application of the recommendations of occupational medicine.
It should be noted that the striking staff of Saint-Martin was on standby yesterday for the progress of negotiations in Guadeloupe to renew or not the strike today._AF
