The steering committee which will implement the first European cross-border Saint-Martin / Sint Maarten program met on September 9 at the prefecture, in the presence of the prefect Anne Laubies, the president of the Aline Hanson collectivity and the Prime Minister de Sint Maarten Marcel Gumbs, reports the 16th edition of the Collective's e-newsletter. On this occasion, the various actors finalized “the program evaluation phase, which will allow moving from January 2016 to the operational phase”. The environmental issue is significant: "85% of the 10 million euros allocated by Europe to this cross-border program are dedicated to environmental themes".
