0

Regional telluric activity in June was stable, comparable to that of previous months, according to the assessment carried out by the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Guadeloupe (OVSG-IPGP). On the Northern Islands side, a moderate magnitude 3 earthquake was recorded on June 10, 34 km east of Saint-Barthélemy, 27 km deep. This earthquake was slightly felt on the island. The observatory recorded a total of 132 earthquakes of tectonic origin of maximum magnitude 4,1 in a region of 450 km around Guadeloupe. As a reminder, the arc of the Lesser Antilles includes 19 active volcanoes and an active underwater volcano. If you experience an earthquake, do not hesitate to report it: www.franceseisme.fr. _EH
