The “Planting Coralitas” project is an initiative of Cassandra Fleming, sociology student in Toulouse, on vacation in Saint-Martin. The latter will organize next month a four-day seminar for young women on the island, aged 15 to 25.
The objective of this seminar is to help the participants to gain self-confidence, to take responsibility, but also to come together in order to create a platform where they can share and evaluate themselves. Indeed, those who will not be able to participate will have the opportunity to discuss on the Facebook page “PlantingCoralitas” and on the twiter “@ForCoralitas”. According to Cassandra Fleming, the purpose of this event is to help them be themselves. The theme chosen this year is the couple. To discuss it, eight women, including a psychologist and a nurse, will speak during this seminar which will take place at the neighborhood council N ° 1, in Quartier d'Orléans (building behind the stadium), from August 12 to 15, from 15 h to 18 p.m. Places are limited to 30 participants and the seminar will be held strictly in Saint-Martin English.
