Last Sunday, it was not an armed robbery that was perpetrated in a convenience store located in Oyster Pond but an attempted carjacking on a motorist traveling in a “Kia Sportage”.
Unable to achieve his goals, the carjacker fled on foot but a patrol from the Research Brigade, present in the sector, arrested him. Placed in police custody, the thug, originally from Sint-Maarten and 20 years old, was referred yesterday morning to the public prosecutor's office of Basse-Terre to be tried in immediate appearance. _AF
