The Clean St Martin association is organizing this Sunday, August 20 in the morning an original cleaning action because it will take place this time in the water, in Grand-Case.

The appointment is given at 8:30 am for volunteers, whether regulars or newcomers who would like to join the wonderful team of the Clean St Martin association. Environmental protectors will meet in the parking lot of the Grand Case Beach Club where there are plenty of places to park. By opting for an aquatic action this Sunday, August 20, the association aims to remove the waste found in the water between the Grand Case Beach Club and the pontoon of the lolo's in Grand-Case. Children are obviously invited to participate in the cleaning operation if they are under the supervision of their parents or an accompanying adult. Participants will stay on the edge, at a reasonable depth. A kayak will be available to volunteers and representatives of the Clean St Martin association to transport the waste collected. During the cleaning operation on July 16, volunteers cleaned a plot located at the start of the customs path above the port of Galisbay, which has been underway for a year and a half. Nearly 400 kg of mainly metallic waste (blinds, stainless steel plates and other scrap metal) have been evacuated once and for all thanks to the motivation of the association's valiant and faithful volunteers. To join the August Clean Up, bring a swimming outfit with mask, snorkel and flippers, a water bottle and the usual sun protection (cap, sunscreen). The mission of this Sunday, August 20 will end as usual with a moment of conviviality around refreshments to recover from the efforts made in favor of the environment and the protection of biodiversity, all in a good-natured atmosphere. See you at 8:30 a.m. this Sunday in the parking lot of the Grand Case Beach Club. Keep SXM clean! _VX
