“These surveys have been a real satisfaction for us”, this is what Louis Jeffry, president of the Saint-Martin Health Observatory association, declared during the presentation of this organization which is part of the achievements of the Collectivity in terms of cooperation projects co-financed by Europe within the framework of the Interreg Caribbean IV program (2007-2013). Nearly 80 investigators - trained in the use of technological tools - took part in the very first study. “We are in a phase of analyzing all the data that will soon be delivered. Preliminary results show that we have an extremely diverse population on the island: out of the first 50 surveys, around 40 people were born in different countries, ”said Jeffry. This project is one of the major achievements in favor of the population. “With our neighbors in Sint Maarten, we have created the Saint-Martin Health Observatory (…). This fruitful partnership is proof that the ORs and OCTs can collaborate on common achievements ”, indicated the president of the Collectivité Aline Hanson, during the presentation of the program. _EH
