A symposium on obesity complications and prevention, organized by the Morphée-Caraïbes association, will take place on March 3 at the Sandy Ground cultural center from 8 am to 16 pm on the theme "overweight from different points of view" . Several specialists were invited, including Dr. Henry Joseph, Professor Mathurin and Professor Janky. The event will open with the conference “Belly and food, place of prevention in good health” at 9 am. Followed by figures from the Constant study for the French overseas departments and territories / prevalence of cardiovascular diseases and obesity in Saint Martin / sport and health, and an intervention on local foods with a low glycemic index.
