Vice-Prosecutor Michaël Ohayon and Vice-President of the Saint-Martin Detached Chamber Gérard Egron-Reverseau representing the Tribunal de Grande Instance of Basse-Terre signed an agreement Friday morning with Jean-Marie Thévenet, the President of the Trait d'Union association for citizenship and road safety so that it can run citizenship courses in Saint Martin.

Introduced by the law of March 9, 2004, the citizenship internship is an alternative punishment to prison. The aim is to induce the respondent not to repeat the facts alleged against him by making him reflect on his behavior. The first citizenship course is scheduled to take place next week. It is planned to provide one per quarter.(More details on www.soualigapost.com)
