" Only good ! I am a fervent feminist, who advocates equality between men and women, equal rights, equal pay, equal visibility and recognition. I come from an Italian family where the place of the woman revolves around that of the man and only exists through him. Even though I was lucky enough to have less traditional parents, I have childhood memories that marked the little girl that I was and forged the woman that I have become. The world also needs to understand that being a feminist is not an attack on men. I'm delighted that this year's theme is “the future is feminist” but my present is already.   Francesca

"To be honest, I don't know if this type of day is really useful because there are still so many inequalities, I see it very well in work or in certain families, even while chatting with friends. I was raised by my aunts, they are strong women who do not hesitate to stand up to men, but I have also seen a lot of violence. It's a serious problem here in Saint Martin and it's hard to change the way people think about or treat women. I am obviously in favor of equality but in our society, it is hard to reverse the trend. Maybe talking about this day will help change things, I hope so anyway. » Jeans

“If the future is feminist, it can only be positive for society. As a man, I don't feel threatened by this theme. I have four daughters and I want them to occupy the place they deserve in society, so that they can flourish. I worked for a company that was run mostly for men when the majority of women were far more competent than them. After a big restructuring, the management was taken over by a woman and it was night and day. The things put in place have been beneficial to both genders. I'm not saying that women are better than men, but we have to stop thinking that women are inferior to men. » Gregg

“I don't really know… I grew up in a modest environment, where the only concern was to bring back enough to eat and keep a roof over our heads. My father always supported my mother but she was never really able to flourish as a woman, she did not study, she took care of us and the house, which is already a colossal job but the Education is so much about empowering women. I'm not pessimistic about the future but things are changing so slowly, and it's scary to see that in some countries, women's rights are also abused. This international day always reminds me how deeply the patriarchal society is rooted in all of us, including women, but I remain hopeful. » Lucy
