At 25, YT is a regular in the courts. He has a past of delinquency which has earned him several convictions, sometimes with prison terms. When he left the prison system on May 15 and returned to the family home, YT learned of homosexuality from one of his brothers. He neither accepted nor supported it.

He was notably accused of having repeatedly uttered death threats and violence against his family and in particular against his younger brother, from whom he had learned to be homosexual.
"I will kill you in your sleep if I see you with a man"
After having been sentenced to 18 months in prison for acts of violence with a weapon, YT is released on May 15, 2020. On his return to the family home, he finds his mother and his two young brothers. During the month of July, one of them reveals his sexual preferences to his family. YT does not accept it and wants to let it be known. He attacked his brother for the first time "under the pretext that the latter made him ashamed", relates the court. For a month the anger of the young convict smolders. At the end of August, it bursts. While the victim was on his bed, YT throws him an object that he misses, an essential oil diffuser, the court said. The third of the siblings attends the scene and decides to intervene between the protagonists. A heated argument broke out between the members of the siblings, very quickly joined by the mother. Kicks are given by YT who is threatening. "If I see you with a man, I'll kill you." I'll kill you while you sleep, ”he yells. Determined to walk the talk if not to show his determination, YT grabs two knives in the kitchen and threatens his whole family. For the brother it is too much, he will file a complaint. "I will come back to kill you after my release", warns YT

For the public prosecutor “when we have committed acts, we must assume the consequences. Sexual orientation is a freedom in our society. Everyone must understand this and if this is not the case, you cannot survive in this society… 6 convictions… you have to stop and take control of your life, ”the vice-prosecutor noted in his requisitions. After deliberation, the court found YT guilty of all the charges against him and sentenced him to 10 months' imprisonment, 6 of which was accompanied by a probationary suspension of two years. , with obligation of care and work. In accordance with the requisitions of the Public Prosecutor's Office, he was also prohibited from coming into contact with his brothers and his mother and from holding a weapon for five years. The Tribunal also ordered his continued detention. A verdict which triggered the howls of distress and anger of the defendant.
