At the end of March, a man travels to Saint-Martin to attend a court hearing. At the airport, he shows his vaccination pass to the authorities who find that the document provided is a fake. The individual thus finds himself prosecuted for possession of a false health document imposed in the context of the fight against the covid-19 epidemic and use of false health documents and must appear before the local court of Saint-Martin.
In mid-May, the courts dealt with two other similar cases, those of two women who had presented false passes during a check. They were tried and sentenced to fines of 500 euros including 300 euros suspended for one, and 600 euros including 300 euros suspended for the second.
As a reminder, all travelers must always present a vaccination pass to board, otherwise the negative results of a PCR or antigen test. (soualigapost.com)
