A young woman (IR) was summoned Wednesday September 19 at 10 am to the court of Saint-Martin in immediate appearance. Several facts were alleged against him, spread over two days: contempt, willful violence, damage to property, death threats ...

On September 14, the gendarmes were called to intervene following a violent argument. IR, 26, has just learned that her partner is leaving her. She does not accept the breakup and exercises voluntary violence against her. Arrested by the gendarmes who arrive on the scene, she insults them and resists with violence. It then destroyed the radio station of the soldiers' car. She was placed in police custody and then released with a summons to court.

But the next day, she returned to the scene in search of her ex-spouse. She threatens to kill several people, goes to the grocery store down the street, breaks the video surveillance cameras, grabs a knife, and hits the manager. She was arrested again and placed in police custody until the immediate appearance.

Accompanied by her lawyer, IR asks, as she has the right, not to be tried immediately and therefore a time limit to prepare her defense. The prosecutor requests the pre-trial detention of the accused. The defense is asking for a house arrest. After deliberation, the court decides to maintain pre-trial detention until judgment. He leaves the defendant to choose whether she wants to be tried by the court of Saint-Martin from the women's quarter of the prison, by videoconference, or if she prefers to be tried in Basse Terre. IR decides to be tried in Basse Terre. A warrant of committal having been ordered, she goes to prison in Guadeloupe at the end of the day until next October 12, date of her hearing.
