Five years after the facts, FH still bears the marks of its altercation with DB. In the evening of August 22, 2014, a violent argument broke out between the two men, in which FH was seriously injured in the head, his skull was sunk into his left side causing irreversible neurological damage.
That evening, DB went to the neighborhood Nice to visit a friend. There he met FH, an acquaintance and a local resident known for his crack consumption at the time. According to DB, FH grabbed an iron rod and to defend himself he picked up a stone from the ground and threw it in the head.
Two days after the facts, DB went to the gendarmerie, was placed in police custody and then under judicial supervision until his trial which took place on November 21 last.
At the hearing, the two men are present. FH denies having attacked DB first.
The circumstances of the altercation are still difficult to clarify, their two versions are opposed. DB continues to justify his actions with self-defense.
The prosecution requested two years in prison, a sentence which will be confirmed a month later by the court. A medical examination was also ordered.
