The criminal court examined on March 21 several cases of sexual assault on minors, including that of LR, 47, born in Maine and Loire.
He was accused of two series of acts committed in Saint-Barthélemy. First of all to have committed sexual touching on EM on December 24, 2015, 12 years old at the time of the events. In his indictment, the vice-prosecutor speaks of LR's “sexual deviance” and “sexual appetite” but specifies that he does not have enough material elements to be able to designate him as a “sexual predator”.
The court sentenced LR to 18 months in prison, six of which were suspended with probation for three years, as well as a fine of 1000 euros and obligation to care. LR is also forbidden to come into contact with any minor other than their children, and to exercise a professional activity in connection with minors. The court ordered his registration in the automated judicial register of perpetrators of sexual or violent offenses (FIJAISV). LR must also compensate the victims up to 10 euros for the child, 000 euros for the mother and 5000 euros under article 1500-475 (attorney's fees).
