Finals in Guadeloupe
On May 7, the chicks from the Gym'Enfants club shone in Saint François, Guadeloupe, when they participated in a team competition for the first time. The application and the progress, highlighted by the regional manager, had rewarded five young gymnasts, aged 6 to 9, with a third place, behind two teams made up mainly of older competitors.
Recently, they dominated the individual chick finals by winning gold in the two youngest age categories thanks to Mai-Angèl Martis (2009) and Xénia Ahlip (2008). Charlotte Martinez (2008) wins bronze by also achieving a very encouraging total of points.
Their elders have not failed since they also rank in very honorable places: Solanlly 7th, Samira 8th and Carla 14th in minimal. Justine, the youngest, should have ranked among the top 6 in Guadeloupe if she hadn't missed her jump.
What encourage and motivate the 140 members of the club who are preparing a big show marking the end of the season. _AF
