Following Hurricane Irma, some rental units in the SEMSAMAR in Saint-Martin require renovation work before they can be safely re-inhabited.
SEMSAMAR therefore informs the population that it is strictly forbidden for anyone to occupy the dwellings of its evacuated residences after the passage of Hurricane Irma, even temporarily, because of the danger they can represent.
Provisional or permanent rehousing solutions are being studied for families of affected SEMSAMAR tenants, forced to leave their accommodation, and listed by the Company. Families of damaged tenants who have not yet been identified to date are asked to contact the SEMSAMAR headquarters in Marigot as soon as possible, or to call their free emergency number , 0590 92 49 06.
The SEMSAMAR teams are also available to families of tenants to help them complete all their administrative procedures, including the declaration of loss for insurance. SEMSAMAR makes every effort to ensure that the rehabilitation of its damaged accommodation is carried out as soon as possible.
