SNSM sea rescuers on all fronts

The volunteers of the National Society for Sea Rescue (SNSM) of Saint-Martin, as always, are not idle. Several missions have been carried out at sea since the beginning of the month.

Among the rescues, the SNSM was called last Saturday by the CROSS to rescue a capsized 12-foot motor boat with two people on board. “As reinforcements also came the coast guards and the rescuers at sea on the Dutch side, a boater nearby, as well as a civilian plane. The research area extended from Plum Point to Grandes Cayes, ”explains SNSM. Adding that “after contact with the Anguilla police - who had previously received the distress call - we headed for Petites Cayes. Arrived near Little Key, we spot a jet-ski (with one of the castaways) towing a dinghy with the other castaway on board (the two victims finally called relatives on the jet-ski). More fear than harm, ”reports the rescue company.
