The time-share group Diamond resorts has announced that it has started the reconstruction of its two complexes located in Sint Maarten.
The Royal Palm at Simpson bay and the Flamingo beach resort at Pelikan were badly damaged by Hurricane Irma. All windows and doors were damaged as were all the roofs and interiors of the apartments. Significant work is therefore planned (carpentry, carpentry, plumbing, water network, etc.)
For the moment, the two sites have been cleaned up and a security perimeter has been installed.
According to several customers of the two establishments, the group has indicated that it plans to reopen during the first quarter of 2020.
