"The projects to come are numerous and will focus on improving the study framework in order to improve school performance," announced the rector Mostafa Fourar during his trip to Saint Martin last Friday.
He cited three programs that will be rolled out over the next two school years: bringing schools up to bio-environmental standards, including planting facades to combat heat; the reconstruction of playgrounds and sports areas in all schools and the renovation of all facades of educational establishments.
"This work is made possible because the president of the COM and the territorial elected representatives have agreed to an additional budgetary expenditure of 1,3 million euros in investments", underlined the rector.
Mostafa Fourar also added concerning the digital college 900 at La Savane, that a second competition of architects was open. “The deliberation of May 25, 2020 made it possible to choose the four architects admitted to compete. The choice of winner will be made in the first week of next October, ”he announced.
On this project, the Ministry of National Education will invest 15 million euros and the Ministry of Overseas, 3 million euros.
Finally, the rectorate and the COM wished to "join in an educational policy which will allow Saint Martin to shine in the arc of the Caribbean in sports matters".
