The police meet the students

The launch of the 3rd edition of the security meetings took place last Friday on the seafront in the presence of the prefect Anne Laubies and the vice-president Guillaume Arnell. On this occasion, many students were made aware of personal safety.

This year, it was Friday, instead of Saturday, that was chosen to kick off this event so that students are involved, said vice-president Guillaume Arnell and prefect Anne Laubies, welcoming teachers and law enforcement. “It is in you that we find our hopes so that you can be the good citizens of tomorrow”, underlined Mr. Arnell saying that he is happy that the Collectivity is associated once again with “this unmissable event”. For the prefect, this event is also important, because the children, thus sensitized, can remind their parents of the safety rules. During her speech, Ms. Laubies denounced the “unacceptable behaviors” of young people who have fun wheeling.

Presentation of the Territorial Information Document on Major Risks (DITRIM)

Guillaume Arnell then held a press conference to unveil the Territorial Information Document on Major Risks (DITRIM) produced by the Collectivity, in French and in English, and distributed in 40.000 copies. The Vice-President recalled that the COM has hired Charlotte Terrac to deal with all of the risks on the territory. She thus developed this prevention document, also available on the COM website, with the help of territorial adviser Louis Fleming. “This document covers all the risks that concern the territory. We have also produced a prevention and rescue booklet with behavior guidelines to adopt. This will reduce our vulnerability and then return to normal as quickly as possible. We are all actors of civil security ”, explained Mrs. Terrac, stressing that she works in close collaboration with the Dutch side.
