Cul-de-sac bay: still struggling with sargassum

0

Residents of Cul-de-Sac Bay will long remember the Sargassum phenomenon. Despite the intervention of the green brigade at the beginning of the month, brown algae are still part of the decor.

New strandings of algae have been observed in Cul-de-Sac bay, notes the ARS in its latest survey of data relating to the presence of sargassum in the Northern Islands, corresponding to week 41. Three sectors are still in the red zone: Cul-de-Sac, eastern north bay and lucas bay. Concerning Saint-Barthélemy, other strandings of brown algae have also been detected: the Gouverneur beach is also particularly affected.
