General Thierry de Ladoucette who commands all the adapted military services (SMA) overseas was last week in Saint-Martin.
“I visit all the ADMs and I wanted to spend a day in Saint-Martin as part of a weeklong trip to Guadeloupe. It seemed important to me to come and see the sites in which the young people participated after Irma's visit, ”he says.
It was also for General de Ladoucette to appreciate the partnership that links the RSMA and the Collectivity of Saint-Martin. He met with the COM services to find out his needs and see how the RSMA could meet them, particularly in the context of reconstruction. "Depending on the needs, we can adapt our needs," he says. The aim would therefore be to train young people in specific trades so that they can come to Saint-Martin to work for several months. The COM and the RSMA are looking at how two or three projects could be given to them.
