International Day of Non-Violence celebrated at LEGT Robert Weinum

0

Celebrated on October 2 each year, the “International Day of Non-Violence” is also the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, who pioneered resistance to oppression through non-violence.

The Robert Weinum General and Technological High School wanted to commemorate this day, on Monday, October 3, by offering thematic workshops to 213 students from 11 second classes.

Thus, the students attended awareness workshops on improving the school climate by handling tools allowing them to cultivate peaceful communication and develop civic-minded behavior.

Three workshops punctuated this morning:

  • A workshop entitled: “Non-violence: origin and communication”,
  •  A workshop on "Non-violent communication",
  •  A workshop in the form of a presentation of the interactive exhibition “13.18 Questions of justice”.

The organizing team would like to thank the entire LEGT Robert Weinum community as well as the external partners, in particular the Maison de Protection des Familles (MPF) and the Judicial Protection of Youth (PJJ).
