The local operator THD Tel inaugurated this week a pooling point at Nettle Bay. A pooling point is a site where optical fiber arrives at the entrance of a residence, a housing estate, houses, etc. From this point, individuals can request their connection to the operator of their choice, including THD Tel.
This pooling point at Nettle Bay can accommodate up to 1 outlets (or customer connections). “It is a wardrobe that we protected by building a concrete shelter around it. It is also capable of withstanding an earthquake, ”specifies Sébastien Niclausse, manager, general manager, network engineer, technician, cable operator at THD Tel.
This is the second pooling point installed by THD Tel, the first having been at Terres Basses in 2017. The operator plans to deliver a third point in early 2019 at the level of the old tourist office.
