As revealed yesterday morning by our colleagues from St. Martin's Week, the Collectivity is subject to control by the AFA (French Anti-Corruption Agency).
In its inspection notice, dated February 8, AFA explained to COM president Daniel Gibbs that “this inspection is intended to assess the existence, quality and effectiveness of the procedures implemented to prevent and detect acts of corruption, influence peddling, embezzlement, illegal taking of interest, embezzlement of public funds and favoritism ”. A questionnaire was attached to this letter. It was also underlined that authorized agents of the AFA (three, in this case) could speak "with any person whose assistance appears to them necessary".
The first on-site interviews began on Wednesday 13 February and should continue until the 21st. For the moment, they concern about twenty people in addition to Daniel Gibbs, but the AFA specifies that “this non-exhaustive list could be completed at any time ”. (More details on www.soualigapost.com)
