CCISM goes on a crusade against sargassum

The CCISM, determined to help entrepreneurs faced with sargassum, is moving into high gear. At the end of the week, a delegation will travel to Paris to show several institutions, including the CCI network, the economic consequences of the presence of brown algae on our territory.

The CCISM appeals to all entrepreneurs directly or indirectly affected by sargassum so that they complete the questionnaire entitled "Assessment of the economic impact of stranding sargassum". Today is the deadline for sending this document to the chamber. "On this evaluation will depend the compensatory measures, the possibilities of moratoriums and the possible technical solutions", underlines the CCISM. Last Saturday, entrepreneurs were able to discuss their difficulties during the second "Sargassum" crisis meeting at the Maison des entreprises in front of the prefect Anne Laubies, the CCISM president Jean Arnell, the CCISM director Maggy Gumbs and the president of Metimer Bulent Gulay. Nautical bases, beach establishments and the seasonal rental market are the first to be affected by this phenomenon, which cannot be resolved only with the help of the green brigades. Questionnaires are to be sent by email: general@ccism.com, by fax to 05 90 87 01 19, or dropped off at the reception of the Maison des Entreprises.
