The title of Junior Minister of Tourism was awarded to Kiara Meyers last Friday at the Sonesta Great Bay Resort. The Sint Maarten Tourist Office organized this competition bringing together nine schools, including Milton Peters College. This student at the Methodist Agogic Center (MAC) conquered the jury with her presentation of the Pelican Museum, in the presence of the Minister of Education Silveria Jacobs. The MAC collected 159 points, followed by the St. Maarten Academy with 137 points. The winner will represent the island at the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) youth congress next October in Granada. During this event, she will try to win the regional title of the junior Minister of Tourism against ten other students. _EH
