Opportunities to attend Karate demonstrations are quite rare on the island. Hence the opportunity to go, on Saturday, December 17, to the 4th edition of the Open Saint Martin of Karate (Shindokai-kan, Kyokushinkai and Tae Kwon Do), organized at the MJC of Sandy-Ground !
Contrary to popular belief, Karate is not a more violent martial art than others, discipline and respect for the opponent are obviously on the menu, not to mention self-control and the rigor of gestures.
The values taught throughout the year are excellent learning in daily relationships with others. Children are sensitive to these respectful attitudes and to the team spirit that reigns during lessons.
Karate should not be seen as a single defense but as a model of social behavior towards yourself, others and your family.
The young combatants of Saint-Martin, aged 6 to 15, will have the opportunity to express themselves fully in front of an audience that we hope to be numerous, on Saturday December 17, at 9 am, at the MJC in Sandy- Ground! _AF
