Corinne de T., 54, from Aruba, was arrested on Sunday partly in the Netherlands by the Sint Maarten police as part of a corruption investigation linked to real estate projects.
She is suspected of having prepared money laundering operations, not having declared unusual transactions, having managed a trust company without authorization and having destroyed evidence. The investigation is being carried out by the anti-corruption taskforce and the National Detective Agency (Landsrecherche Sint Maarten).
