Initiative Saint Martin Active closed the third edition of the Innovation Competition with the award ceremony which took place on Monday February 12, 2018. Twenty-five applications were submitted and seven were selected.
The winners of the 3rd edition of the Innovation Competition:
1st Prize for innovation: € 3 donated by Caisse des Dépôts to the “Oualichi Experience” project presented by Justin CONNER, Miguel and Marino HENRY
• Oualichi Experience
The project consists of setting up a small tourist train in Marigot. The electric train will transport passengers from the seafront to the former Concordia sugar factory while passing through Fort Louis. The train will be fitted with headphones to hear comments available in five languages.
2nd Innovation Prize : € 2 donated by the CCISM to the “Air Zoon” project presented by Steve BERCY.
• Air Zoon
Through an advertising service, Air Zoon promotes the image of its customers (hotels, restaurants, communities, etc.) and allows them to offer a free Wi-Fi service to their users.
Remarkable company promotion 2017: “La Kasa Mapou”
On this occasion, the “Kasa Mapou” project was also honored, having been recognized at national level in the Remarkable Initiative Committee.
This project responds to the different aspects of a remarkable company which represent: territorial dynamism, environmental commitment, social and societal voluntarism as well as innovation.
• The Kasa Mapou
Katell OLLIVIER and Simon SUPPA are working on the creation of the first eco-friendly inn on the island. Their ambition is to make the site as ecological as possible and create a place of exchange and social bond between residents and visitors of the island in the heart of the traditional village of Grand-Case.
The Initiative Saint Martin Active association encourages innovation. It is essential for us to support young teams carrying out projects in order to promote innovative products, processes or services.
