On the morning of Sunday September 25, an inter-service operation enabled the interception of a ship involved in the illegal smuggling of migrants during the disembarkation at the port of Galisbay.
This mobilized the services of the Border Police and the Gendarmerie with support from the services of the prefecture, the Territorial Police and the coastguard division of customs.
Four smugglers were arrested. At the same time, 21 migrants were taken care of by State services. The medical check-ups carried out did not reveal any particular medical situation despite several hours spent at sea during the transit.
