This Tuesday, May 2 at 9 a.m., the Interprofessional Consular Chamber of Saint-Martin (CCISM) is organizing a free workshop on disability and businesses in order to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable professional world for all.
This first meeting led by Marie Martin, training officer at the CCISM, is aimed at anyone from the private sector wishing to enter into a responsible approach in favor of the professional inclusion of people with disabilities. This Tuesday, May 2, from 9 a.m., the CCISM team will accompany you in this process by addressing, among other things, the role and missions of the Association for the management of the Fund for the professional integration of people with disabilities (AGEFIPH), the services offered by Pôle Emploi and Cap Emploi, once again present in the territory of Saint-Martin, the need for awareness-raising actions to be put in place at the heart of Saint-Martin businesses, schools and within the population, and finally, the launch of the Pacte Handicap Entreprise which aims to empower socio-professionals on the issue of hiring people with disabilities. The second part of this morning will be dedicated to a conversation around taboos related to disabilities.
According to Marie Martin, 80% of the population may one day find themselves in a situation of short, medium or long-term disability, the "Disability and Business" meeting will therefore make it possible to differentiate the types of disability, to remove the taboos and to present to the public the aid available for people with disabilities and companies. The subject is important and topical. Among the actions launched by the CCISM on this theme, an initial drive to raise awareness was boosted with the "Handicap et Entreprise" competition last November in partnership with AGEFIPH, won by Orange Fever with its "La Plage pour tous" project, which will materialize end of May 2023. This new Disability & Business meeting is free, and will be held at the CCISM this Tuesday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. _VX
